I disagree with the previous reviews, as I really like this. Good sweetness, but not too much so. A little, not too much, hops to finish off. Top three brown I have had.

Dark brown and carbonated. A sweet caramel and coffee taste with malt, but an unexpected strong hops taste as well. Just an average brown, really, but not at all bad. Good with beef in a red sauce or a hot pastrami on rye. Beware, clashes horribly with garlic pickles! *burp!*

I agree with sloshed. This one was a bit more hoppy than I expected, and not quite as sweet. Not much of a nose to this one, so all of the eggs are thrown into the taste basket, which was very average. This is one that I would drink solo, but I don't think I would ever by a six of this. This beer has more feel than taste, as I can track where it is in my digestive tract very easily.

Love the brown ales so I was really looking forward to this. This one is decent but a little boring. Smooth and drinkable, but lacking much of the sweet nutty flavor I was hoping for.
