Good roasted malt flavor, but very thin for a stout. Too think to be a meal in itself, but great with "big food." The bitter hops at the end doesn't last. Another beer that reminds me a bit of black olive juice.

Stouts are my specialty, and this one was too thin and spicy for my taste. Not bad, mind you, but I love the 'so thick you can cut it with a fork' variety, and this definitely wasn't that.

Rich and creamy, with chocolate and toffee flavors. Very smooth, easy finish, and very tasty. A bit watery for a stout, but it makes it a very good session beer, which is not the case with most stouts.

Had myself a few 8 balls. Roasted malts have a slight sweet flavor and there are some mild hops in the finish. A little on the watery side, but overall pretty good.
