Brewer's Description:
"ItÂ’s finally ready! We brewed a double-strength batch of Mirror Pond Pale Ale last March and aged it in a variety of new and used (Bourbon, Pinot Noir, Port) oak barrels. The final blending has taken place and there will be a limited release at 5PM on the Winter Solstice here at the Pub. It will also be available in other select outlets in the Pacific Northwest in December."

I agree with everything above, very tasty I found it to be pretty sweet though but a smooth drinkable brew.

Very smooth smoked wood flavor that I would expect from an oak barrel. Some sweetness, but the oak overpowers the sweetness. The alcohol is well hidden. However, the overall flavor is not something I would go out of my way to find. Nothing really special, but it is an idea that has great potential with a bit of tweaking.

Oak aged for 4 months. Does NOT taste like the 9.8% that is is. Very smooth with vanilla tones, and no after taste. I would definitely drink this one again.

I like the name. Repetative names are nice, for some reason. If I have another kid I think I will name him Jo-Jo, even if it's a girl. I probably won't name him Mirror Mirror, though. For a beer it's fine, but might sound stuck-up for a person.

Nice sweet caramel, vanilla and oak flavors. Mild hops for balance. Alcohol warms it, but very well hidden.
