Beer Bottle
Brewer's Description:
"This beautiful, deep russet brew has the sweet and somewhat nutty character of Adam Avery's late (1992-2002) Chocolate Lab, for which it is named. Crystal and chocolate malts give this beer a brown sugar maltiness with hints of vanilla and nuts, while subtle hopping gives it an overall drinkability that's second to none, just like Ellie!"

Definitely has a chocolate maltiness to it, with a decent amount of vanilla. I like the taste, but not sure it's a brown. It's also not a stout, as it's too thin. This beer is confusing -- decent, but confusing. Gets better as it warms slightly, too.

Interesting. I thought this was a little to deep of a chocolate and coffee flavor for my taste in browns.Too much like a stout or porter.I prefer a nuttier brown ale.Still good quality and enjoyable.

I thought this was a pretty good brown ale, although I agree with Drew that it was a little hoppy.

Malt taste is pretty weak. Too many hops for a brown ale. Astringent taste as well. Brown ales are my favorite type of beers so it's got to be pretty bad if I don't enjoy it.
