Beer Bottle
Brewer's Description:
"Stone Smoked Porter is dark, rich and complicated. A porter is substantially darker than a pale ale, but not as black or opaque as a stout. Our Stone Smoked Porter has a captivatingly deep mahogany color, complimented by silky dark tan head. Rich, full bodied and robust. Smooth, with chocolate and coffee-like flavors balanced by the subtle "smoky" character of just the right amount of peat-smoked specialty malt. Release Date = December, 1996"

Very drinkable with flavors of a dark roast coffee and mocha. Nice round feel in the mouth with no bitterness. Very subtle smokiness which compliments any type of smoked, bbq'd meats. It's almost like having a rich cup of coffee to top off a large meal but much better! Can't go wrong here.

This was very good. The smoked taste is balanced and not overpowering and blends well with the fine porter flavor of this beer.

Rich, smooth, coffee and smokey taste, but with a longer lingering bitter aftertaste than I care for. Good with food or by itself. It's also surprisingly drinkable when warm and flat too.

This beer is great! I'm a fairly big coffee drinker and I would trade my two cups in the morning for this if it wouldn't get me fired. YOu know that first sip of coffee in the morning warms you up and gets you awake and ready for the day? I got that same feeling tasting the first sip of this beer.

Very impressive beer.. Smoke flavor is mild with hints of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is not overbearing making this a very drinkable beer. Excellent.
