The hoppy bitterness is welcoming but a little surprising for a beer that claims to be a brown ale. The rich malt flavor, however balances it out. There is a lingering aftertaste just like the a.b.a that's reminiscent to a red ale. I'm curious to try this beer on tap..someday.
