Brewer's Description:
"Samichlaus Bier
One of the rarest beers in the world, brewed only once a year on December 6th, subsequently fermented and matured for about 10 months before bottling in October. Thus Samichlaus is a vintage beer and with around 14 % of alcohol by volume the strongest bottom-fermented lager in the world. Samichlaus may be aged in the bottle for many years to come. Older vintages become more complex with a creamy warming finish. Serve with hardy robust dishes and desserts, particularly with chocolates, or as an after dinner drink by itself - as a companion for meditations at the fireplace... Samichlaus is filled in personalized 330 ml. bottles, exported to exclusive distribution partners' worldwide mainly through pre-orders prior to bottling in October each year. "

Disregard the" malt liquor" on the label because this pretty much tastes like a candisweet barley wine that will kick your ASS all over Austria, (or anywhere else).I imagine you could get pretty #*$#%- UP on a 4pk of these.

2006 vintage. Full of sugary sweetness that is strong enough to mask most of the alcohol taste. Incredibly clear and crisp, it's not nearly as heavy as other beers with an AVB above 10%. Very one dimensional but definitely worth a try.

Judas! This beer has 4 flavors... Caramel followed by alcohol, alcohol, and alcohol. It seems that this beer is strong just for the sake of being strong rather than adding to the taste. I have never done the straight shot wince with a beer until this one. The only think I like about this was the fact that it got me loaded and quickly...
