Beer Bottle
Brewer's Description:
"Old Chub is a Scottish style ale brewed with copious amounts of crystal and chocolate malts, and a dash of beechwood-smoked malts. While Dale's Pale Ale ("the best-tasting canned beer I've ever had," according to many brewers and beer experts) is a showcase of both hops and pale malts, Old Chub is a celebration of malts. The cola-colored beer features a dense, tawny head, a creamy mouthful and flavors of caramel, chocolate and lightly roasted malt. Complex and rich, it finishes with a whisper of smokiness that calls to mind a fine single malt scotch."

One of the best canned craft beers I've tried, this has some strong ABV and a good caramel malt flavor that is true to style. The price ($10.99) was very reasonable.

The brewer at Oskar Blues was the one who got into a back and forth argument with Jim Kock (Samuel Adams) about the use of cans for beer. Koch argued that the lining of cans ruins the taste, while OB argues that cans prevent light contamination. I think I will side with OB on this one as this is the best beer I have ever had out of a can. Nice chocolate, caramel, smoke and peat. Alcohol is well hidden - you could seriously derail yourself on these.
