"Blend of the various barrels of oak aged Papier (25%) plus 75% unbarrel-aged Papier. Our first anniversary beer. Papier is a Belgian-style Old Ale layered with complex flavors of dark fruit, vanilla, oak, and burnt sugar."

I had a few beers and was nearly all the way through this one, and I wondered aloud why I was getting so hammered. Then I looked at the bottle and saw that this was 14.5%. Not surprising since this really tastes a lot like a bottle of red wine aged in oak and whiskey barrels. Not much of a red wine fan, but you can definitely tell that some craftsmanship went into this one.
