Brewer's Description: "Here's a real take-no-prisoners, hearty, small-batch ale from Freeport brewer Greg Sansone: Strong Oatmeal Stout. S.O.S. is a bold, dark ale made from a blend of nine malts and a generous helping of oatmeal. This full-bodied brew rivals any of our E.S.B.s for strength (about 6.8% ABV). A light touch with the hops gives S.O.S. a warm, slightly sweet palate that is memorably smooth. Strong Oatmeal Stout will be served this month as a nitrogen-carbonated draft and cask-conditioned specialty." User: beerlover420  (1402 reviews/ratings)  Added: 03-17-2007 Location: Outside on the deck @ Grittys Brewpub Type: Tap/Keg Rating: I have to change my mind again, this time about oatmeal stouts.Hands down,this is the best beer by Grittys.It had a nice creamy head and surge like a Guinness,but a sweeter taste.All the flavors were balanced and the ABV was just right.Too bad I missed the bagpipers,but this beer helped me celebrate St.Pattys Day,anyway.
