Brewer's Description:
The base beer for the 2009 Alamo City Cerveza Fest "Funkiest of Show", a portion of this Caribbean Style Stout will eventually be subject to the addition of tart cherries and prolonged aging. Named after the winning homebrewer, super-Swiss expatriot Markus Haas, meister DJ of KRTU's Haas Party, and el Presidente of the Bexar Brewers. Freetail denizens will find Maakoos less bitter than the typical Irish Dry Stout, brewed with a portion of molasses, yielding a pleasant, lingering sweetness to balance flavors of roast and rich chocolate.
