Beer Bottle
Brewer's Description:
"A big hoppy/pear/floral sensation upfront, with a clean spiciness like a touch of pepper that gives way to some tart, earthy flavors from the wheat. Bitterness is high, but balanced, and vanishes fairly quickly... Lively carbonation and medium body make this beer feel refreshing. Hops lightly attack the tongue, yet the finish is very soft and clean."

Where's the wheat? I get a strong hoppy bitterness kicking me in the teeth. There's also a sour citrus taste much like the Arrogant Bastard. It smells really flavorful and fruity but the taste can't back it up.

Bought this at Wild Oats... This beer has a short lived sweet malt taste up front that quickly changes to a mixture of citrus hops and tons of pepper. Finishes with pretty high hop bitterness and enough alcohol burn that I got heartburn. The brewer says that they modified their previous wheat recipes to make this, but I couldn't detect any wheat presence. Overall it is a decent beer, but nothing I can get too excited about.
