South Lake Tahoe is known for its excellent skiing in the winter and extensive summer activities. Of course, it is also a haven for adult fun sporting several casinos and lots of drinking options.

South Lake Tahoe Beer Festivals:
  • Annual Brews, Jazz & Funk Fest in the Village - Although this festival does not occur in South Lake Tahoe, it is the closest one and is located just a short drive away in North Lake Tahoe. The Annual Brews beer festival occurs in August at Squaw Valley's Village. This 2 day fest offers over 25 different types of beer and live music.

  • South Lake Tahoe Beer Bars:
South Lake Tahoe has a pretty happening nightlife, of course, that depends on which state you are in. If you are in Nevada where the casinos are located, you can party all night long and the casinos have a surprisingly decent number of beers. The California side has some good bars, but they close at 2am. Below are the best bars in the area.

Located about 2 miles outside of the town of South Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side. In addition to their restaurant and cabin rentals, they also have an outdoor palapa bar where you can sit in the summer sun and drink the day away to live music. Zephyr Cove has championship sand volleyball courts and a beautiful sand beach with swimming and jet ski rentals. Because it is private property, you can drink beer on the beach and volleyball courts. Their selection of beer is fairly small, but you can always fine a few good micros here.
