Holy crap...my head hurts.....good show though. They basically mixed some standup with a bunch of classic skits from the movies. I saw a crapload of people getting escorted out for puffing away freely like idiots.... _________________ .

Yeah...you didn't hear about the tour..it's called Cheech and Chong Light Up America. They've already been around your part I think....once Tommy Chong got of prison they started thinking about it again. He had no cash because of the bust, and Cheech had no cash because Nash Bridges was a bust...so, go on tour and make a few million easy.... _________________ .

I hadn't heard of the tour, nor the fact that Chong was in prison. I just looked it up and I just about shit myself.. Our government spent 12 million dollars to bust someone that was selling bongs???
Thats a pretty sure sign your country is fucked.. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

| The Chong case was a clear case of Gov't entrapment.Tommy chose to give in rather than fight it which is too bad. |

His wife did a short bit prior to them coming out. She mentioned, "Fuck Bush! Fuck Bush for putting Tommy in prison for selling a fucking bong!" I totally agree..seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if it cost 12 million, and it could have been more if he tried to fight the charges instead of pleaing out.
He could have fought, but it would have cost more than he already lost. There's wouldn't be a lot of support for 50-something pothead selling bongs.....some, but not enough to make any political difference, which is where it counts in the legal system...... _________________ .

-Yeah,you're probably right. His lawyer probably advised him to do what he did.The Gov't was looking for a poster boy to make an example of and it would've been too costly to fight it most likely.Still sucks that Tommy had to do jail time. |

ANd you know he wasn't the first person they spent an obnoxious amount of money to bust for something that, quite frankly, is relatively minor given the countries current situation. _________________ kidvelvet
