The weather hasn't been very Springlike up North lately, but everywhere is hopped out beers like IPAs,Summer seasonals, etc.I just bought out the last of the Kulmbacher Eisbocks at the local beer cave.If I only had a time lock fridge,I could put some malty type beers away for the Summertime.Damn!

Or you could learn to make your own....once you get past the basics, it's easier than you probably think..
www.howtobrew.com free e-book by john palmer, gives you pretty much everything you need to know to get started. _________________ .

Anyone ever have a beer freeze over and explode on them?
The temperature in the fridge was a bit too low and a bottle of Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout COMPLETELY froze over and flipped it's cap. |

Sort of, but it didn't explode. I put a beer in the freezer and forgot about it for a couple of days. It was frozen and as it thawed, the carbonation kicked in and it drooled for hours until I had to just throw it away. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

When I was a young man,we used to drink at outdoor parties even in the Winter. We would simply throw the beers into the snow to keep them cold.If you didn't drink fast enough ,you ended up with some "beer slushies". If they completly froze, there was a little bit of liquid left which was the alcohol itself. That part was nasty, but it was always good for a dare. _________________ Beer Is Bread |

I put a bottle of UFO in the freezer a few weeks ago....forgot about it, frozen solid. I just took it out, let it thaw in the sink and dumped it. I still use the freezer sometimes, but with more caution... _________________ .

| I guess "explode" was the wrong word. It just popped the top -- no broken bottle or anything. |
