Figured I should start my own thread on this since the other was kind of hidden.

We are getting further along but still building. Very long process when you are doing all the work yourself and you have kids that are active in sports killing a lot of my weekend work time.

So to recap the house was 1511 sq ft, we are adding 1486 sq ft and remodeling 150 sq ft.

What we started with:

Getting started moving plants and trees:

Now we have some room to work:

Foundation digging

Swimming in my new pool:

Work work work

Had to replace the roof on the rest of the house because of the new trusses, figure might as well replace the old plywood also:

Almost currect picture, its painted now and wasn't in this picture

Family Room

The bar will be located where the sheetrock bench is sitting:

The pictures haven't caught up to where we are but they are close. I just finished the first coat of joint compound on all the sheetrock and I am working on putting bullnose on all the corners. I will try to update as I progress.

Looks great.. I like how it was a priority to get the emblem on the wall before finishing the floors. Smile

Flooring isn't in the budget yet so not sure when they will be done. We are actually using the space although we haven't had final inspection yet. shhhhh LOL

The Mrs loves to paint so once the walls were ready she is unstoppable. The room with my son vacuuming is actually going to be full winter camo, its done now I need to get more pictures.

It actually makes sense to paint before the floors go in so you don't have to worry about spills and drips.
