Maybe, I'm just able to get it fresh in my region, but most of the time it is still a great Duff- type of beer for me. I did get a 6er once not long ago and it tasted like the review that sloshed gave it recently. I apologize to any beertutorites who try this beer and think it sucks. I have only tried a very few cream ales and I still stand by Genesee as the king of cream ales until something better comes along.

Wow.. You found my review fast..
I felt bad writing that review... Maybe there is a difference in shelf life or something. That is the first time I've ever seen that beer in Oregon. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

Cream Ales suck. That is all.
Okay, so I just don't really like them. Tried a few, and they all taste the same..nasty. _________________ .

I went back into the database and lowered my rating from 5 to 4 star on this beer because I don't trust my tastebuds. I figure it must be a combination of favorable bias and getting it really fresh which causes my tastebuds to overreact positively. For most people who want to try this beer, I would expect the experience to be more like the review by sloshed than mine. Fair warning!

After getting a great deal on some Narragansett Cream Ale, I have lowered my rating for Genesee and crowned NCA as the new King of Cream Ales.

I still refrain from them.. I had one a few weeks ago, can't remember the name...it was reccomended by the server, and it was nasty. I exchanged it for a Pepsi.. _________________ .

Never seen that one here. We might have to do a beer exchange pretty soon.. Or maybe you don't want me to have for fear I'll mess up your good rating like I did on Genessee. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

Cream Ales are by no means a great style of beer. They are close to lagers, I believe. Also, I have my own system of rating based on style, price, and a few other factors that might not be considered relevant by some so called experts (not any beertutorites.) In any case, I am up for another exchange soon, but I have to find steady work first. Too bad I can't be paid to review beer. lol. Taste is a personal thing in any case.

J, you never heard of Narragansett? They make some pretty good brews..and at beer events, they bring the Narragansett Girls. Oh yeah...sort of like in person models from the 50's war poster style...or just hot works too... _________________ .

Narragansett Girls? I met some Guinness Girls on St. Patty's Day that were pretty hot, but I never heard of the 'Gansett Girls. More Beer Girls! Cool!
