Lately, I've seen and tried beers called, Rye IPAs, and I wondered if this is a new style different from plain old rye beer? Comments from beertutorites?

RyePAs are just IPA style beers, with a greater amount of rye malt, as opposed to pale malt. It gives a dryer character overall. I'm not a huge fan, but lots of people do like them.
I believe the first and/or most popular was brewed up by Denny Conn, homebrew legend. _________________ .
