Speaking of places in Portland, the old Henry's Brewery in the Pearl District is now a full fledged bar. What makes this place really cool is that the bar has this cooling strip on it. So, you can order a cold beer and place it on this strip on the bar and it keeps it cold...pretty cool...plus they had quite a few beers on tap.

JudgeRage and I went there a few months ago and it is a pretty cool place (So I listed it in our Portland City Guide). Good beer selection, but a little crowded when we were there.

Hmmm...I am sensing another beer tasting soon.

That would be great! I will start thinking about one in early November (My weekends are booked until then). Beer

And for fish and chips, I like Burgerville's (Oregon fast food chain) and the best are at The Horse Brass.. Drink From Flask

Around here, it's got to be The Fish House. It's all caught the morning you buy it, so it's always good. I prefer the fried haddock, but the baked isn't bad either......Their chips are wicked good too. Drink Beer Bottle

I haven't had good fish and chips since I lived in Scotland. Then again, the only thing you can catch in the rivers around here is fires.

Yeah, my family lived there for almost 10 years while I was growing up. It was a very cool experience, looking back. I also got to see a lot of Europe while we were there.

The chippy and the kebab shops are probably what I miss the most.
