I don't really care for the Pats but Denver is going to lose. Jake Plummer??? The Browns defense?? Come on. These guys have consistent track records of mediocrity. They've overachieved all year and now they will be exposed for the frauds they are. _________________ Happiness is like peeing yourself, everyone can see it but only you can feel its warmth! |

Huh?? We play in Denver next week......Seahacks play the Redskins, who will more than likely get killed....but yes eventually, the Title shall remain with it's keepers. _________________ .

That was really hurtful I think you are just cranky because Cinci lost today, so I forgive you.
Denver has given up a lot less points for the season than they did the 2 years they won the superbowl and have put up roughly the same number for themselves. They had a very difficult schedule this year and beat NE, San Diego 2x, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Jacksonville, etc. In fact, SportsCenter said that they had the toughest schedule of any team this year.
If we can forget the season opening loss to Miami, they lost by 1pt in the last 2 seconds of the game to the Giants, and lost to Kansas City. Both are respectable teams and both games were on the road..
NE is going to face them in Denver where they are undefeated this year. I don't think its looking good for them... Broncos will find a way to win... _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

I have to agree with Drew...I just don't see Denver beating New England. Jake has really grown over the past two years, and I am really happy for him...I thought he was screwed with Arizona, and now that he actually has a line and running game, he can make better decisions.
But I can never bet against Brady. Even if the weather conditions are brutal, NE is used to it. The only thing about Brady this year is he has been mediocre on the road...12 touches and 12 INTS.
This game is really going to fall into the hands of the Denver defense. I don't think Denver can play a "we will score more than you" type of game because the NE defense has finally gotten healthy. So if Denver can keep it low scoring, I really think they can take advantage of home field. If NE scores more than 24 points, then it would favor NE.
Should be a great game! _________________ kidvelvet

I am surprised that people think that NE is even in the same league as Denver right now. If Denver plays like they have been, there is no way NE can win.
Denver owns them in defense and rushing. Pats have the edge in the passing game.
Everybody keeps talking about how the Pats are a different team now than at the beginning of the season. The Patriots better 2nd half came at the expense of teams like the Jets 2x, Miami 2x (lost once), Buffalo and New Orleans. Doesn't prove anything - Barring a Bronco meltdown, they will have to beat Denver before they get my respect. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

Oh, so 3 out of the last 4 Superbowls doesn't earn respect. The Pats have been seriously hurt this year, and you can put good money that other teams who lost both coordinators, and had a bunch of good but injured players would be in the gutter. Bill Belichick has proved he may be the greatest coach of all time. C'mon, Plummer? That bozo is in for a bell ringing upstairs...... _________________ .

Sure respect for their dynasty, but all dynasties come to an end and I'm talking about this year - they aren't going to go to the SuperBowl forever. In fact, they have gone about as long as anybody has and I think they are through. Even if they make it past Denver, I don't see them beating Indy this year. Hell, I'm not sure Denver can beat Indy playing at their best..
Watch out for Plummer. He is one dangerous mofo. Even after the season he has had this year, people still view him like you do and he quietly proves everyone wrong.. Its just that nobody is paying attention.. There is an article in ESPN the Magazine about Plummer that is a good read. The season he has had is on par or better than the averages put up by the last 6 or so super bowl champion QBs. By the way, he is right behind Brady in QB rating, so if you dis Plummer you dis Brady. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

Huh? If he's lower than Brady?.......Nah? The Plum sucks anyway. The only thing to worry about is the same thing all teams going to Denver face, the extreme lack of oxygen that high up. I still think we will win, and you will be surprised.......and drunk. _________________ .

Don't forget the extreme lack of skill.. oohh Those are fighting words..
And yes, I will certainly be drunk during that game and probably blacked out if Denver loses.. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

Now, seriously..skill? Who had a Higher QB rating? Who led the league in passing yards? Who took over a team about to crumble and brought a Dynasty to one of the most cursed cities in sports? Now, skill plays a bigger part than luck, or bad refs...unless we lose, then the F'in Broncos cheated!! _________________ .

Traditionally, the quarterback with more playoff experience wins the game. I really think this is going to be a key factor here. Look at the games last week. Simms v. Brunell, Roth v. Kitna (bummer with Palmer.), Delhomme v. Manning, and Leftwich v. Brady. In all of those cases, the quarterback with more playoff experience won. I think this is going to be a key for Plummer, who really hasn't been on this kind of stage before in the pros.
Yes, Denver has had a better year, without question. And they had one of the toughest, if not the toughest schedule. But I hate to bet against a champion. I would like to see Denver win, but if I was betting money on the game, I would have to put my money on NE. _________________ kidvelvet

Yah, experience counts! How many Broncos have a ring? I think we'll send over 40 players with a ring, or two, maybe three. _________________ .

It should be a good game, either way. I still think that the Pats are going to take it, but I don't think it's going to be an easy win for them by any means. I'm really looking forward to this one. _________________ "Let's go drink until we can't feel feelings anymore." |
