As enlightening as Rick's drunken poll was, I thought we might need a better question. Smile So here it is...

I would have to say that comes down to where I am. At the store around a dollar per beer since I try to keep the 6 packs I buy to around $6-7. When I am at a sporting event I usually don't drink at all since I refuse to pay $5+ for a shitty BMC piss.

I guess I should clarify that the amount is what you would pay for a one-time purchase of a specialty beer. The only beer that I know of that is over $100 is Samuel Adams Utopias, although I assume there are others. Fortunately, I got to try it for free, but I would have payed that much for a bottle... Beer

The most I have payed is $35 for a bottle of beer that I can't remember what it is called and didn't like. Drink Beer Bottle

$10 is probably about the most I would spend. Hair of the Dog brewery had some expensive specialty type stuff for $35 in a wine bottle size that I just couldn't see purchasing.

I paid over a hundred for each of my Utopias, and the Westvleteren 12's were $12 each I think. The Celebrate from Michelob was pretty good(AB surprise...), and that went for $20 with a pair of tulip glasses. I just got another for $10, sans the glassware. I suppose it depends on the beer, the time, the price, et cetera......I suppose on any given day, I would max out at $50, which would be pushing it, but then again, I live in ScrewU-achusetts, so everything costs more here. If you don't where that is, go to google, and look up the state with a $14 Billion tunnel system held together with epoxy....... Drink Beer Bottle

My wife paid $70 (of my money) for a 4-pack of Westvletern. That included shipping. That's about the only time I'll ever spend that kind of cash on so small a quantity.

I think the most I'd spend is like $20... it could have something to do with the fact that I am a poor ass mo-fo.

I was thinking a fresh poured pint...and about $10 for something pretty special is where I would go. Of course a bigger bottle of something good might be more...

Hmm.. hard to say if it is still good without trying it. Bocks are a form of Lager and they don't tend to age well like many Ales do.

My guess is that it probably has turned bad. If it has, you should know after the first sip. Smile

Speaking of collection somewhat off topic for this section. But how many people save there bottles after they enjoy the beer. So far I have somewhere around 25 bottles along the shelf above my window.

thanks
