Okay, so not really fair....I could never pass up the oppurtunity to be in a Belgian monastery drinking away...but other than that, I'd rather go camping with some friends and get absolutly shithoused..... _________________ .

Yeah camping would be my 2nd, although I am not sure I want to go camping again without a gun after coming across a cougar last time. I dig the island life though. Luckily, I am a beer garbage can and can drink almost anything if need be. As for the monastery option, I would love to see them, but I can get those beers easily so it didn't make first choice. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

I can also get most of the good Belgian brews....granted Westveleteren always presents an issue, but it is doable....I went for the monestary due to the experience. Just being there and seeing how they perfect such a craft over the years...I mean c'mon, what other brewery looks this good and clean.....This is from Rochefort....

| Seriously ricka182? "I'd rather go camping with some friends and get absolutly shithoused....." C'mon, is it really about the alcohol? Geez there are quicker ways than beer if that's all you're in it for. |

Seriously? Yes. Why, does it bother you that my alcohol of choice is beer, even if I'm only drinking to get drunk?....Not to mention there is a mention of alcohol in all of the choices, so why not be honest?! Although we have great cumulative knowledge of beer here, with experience in tasting probably hundreds of beers, we're not beer snobs here...beer snobs suck.... _________________ .

Yeah.. If it were solely about location, who wouldn't choose a cruise or being on a tropical beach over camping? You can go camping anytime for cheap.. Like Rick said, the beer choice combined with the location was the point of the question. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

I'd like the bar with a good beer selction...and I don't care if it's crowded, as long as I am not waiting around for a waitress. That's the worst. I always try and time it so I am taking the last sip from one beer as she rolls up with my next order in hand. When that balance is thrown off, well, you better give me some room. _________________ It's Beer-Thirty somewhere.

I have to agree that the drunken factor is a big part of my appreciation for beer. Beer is pretty much tits in that you can drink a whole lot if you want or get hammered quickly if that's your goal. Any other type of alcohol and there's no way I'm getting 5-6 reviews in a night. I'd be asleep after three. On the other end, drinking O'Douls all night just isn't fun.
And BTW, that avatar is still creepy. _________________ Happiness is like peeing yourself, everyone can see it but only you can feel its warmth! |

| I voted for desolate beach with crappy island lager. I have very fond memories of drinking krappy Kalik on the empty, beautiful beaches of Eluthera with my friends. As long as I can get good beer here at home, why wouldn't I put up with bad beer for a week or two while on vacation? Just my two cents... |
