Pyramid Breweries Inc. has agreed to be acquired by Magic Hat Brewing Company & Performance Arts Center Inc. for $2.75 a share in cash.

Pyramid, which brews beer and operates five alehouses, said Tuesday its board had approved the deal, as have shareholders accounting for about 29 percent of the company's stock.

wowww!! Didn't see that coming....Magic Hat is good stuff...the Circus Boy hefe is friggen great......I hop it doesn't change, because Pyramid hefe isn't much of a hefe.....

I am surprised too.. Pyramid has bought so many other breweries over the years, that I thought they would be the powerhouse. I had no idea that Magic Hat was big enough for a purchase of this size. good for them!

Yeah, but Circus Boy actually has some authentic hefe characteristics. I like my wheat ale better than Pyramid..... Drink Beer Bottle
