I am a new member from Southwest WA, preparing for my initial brewing class in two days. I found some good used equipment on my local Craigslist. My neighbor has been brewing various recipes for quite some time so I will have a nearby source of help and info. But I will also be using this site. |

Welcome to the site! A brewing class would be a great idea for me. I may look into that... _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

| is a 3 hour class and they basically make a batch of beer and explain the process and answer questions. Then they become another source of supplies and answers for me here in my area. |

Welcome!
As an avid homebrewer, I can highly reccomend www.howtobrew.com It's a great and free online resource. You can also buy the book, but it's a must for beginners. _________________ .

There are also "Teach a Friend to Brew Days" that are a great way to learn. _________________ Let the obsession begin. |

I think the National Teach a Friend to Brew day is in early November. But the American Homebrewing Association website has a listing of any local events all year long as well.
