Sometimes I wish I could divide my ratings into two, one for style, and one for an overall score like some other beer sites do. It just doesn't seem right to see Genesee Cream Ale listed next to a great Belgian beer in the statistics. Although, I suppose that one is my fault. _________________ Beer Is Bread |

You bring up an interesting point.. Its difficult, but I try to rate beers while taking the style into account. For example, I don't think I have ever given a light/pale lager more than 4 stars. It just isn't that interesting of a style. So when I see a beer rated that high, it just makes me want to find it so I can confirm/deny the other rating(s)... Sometimes easier said than done.. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

I'm going to reiterate my intention to someday, one day, finish adding my ratings and reviews.. Before the sun goes down, it shall be done. _________________ .

Based upon my recent beer tatsing history, not that much work... lol.. I wish I've been drinking more, but I took some time away from alcohol for a month or so, and am just getting back into it. Plus for me, Winter is low-beer, high-booze season.. _________________ .

Oh, how I missed the warming feeling of booze entering my bloodstream... and the morning after headaches.. All good and worth it though, for a good drink.. _________________ .

I rate beers on a number of number of factors such as price, style, and overall. Style of beer is definitely a big factor for me. That is the reason Genesee Cream Ale is rated so high for me. It is the best cream ale I've ever had and it is cheap, drinkable, and good overall. There is no way in hell I would ever claim it is on par with any good Belgian, but for the style it is the best.

Everything makes sense with alcohol. The more ridiculous it is sober, the more alcohol you need to consume to understand it.
