Well, you're article may not be as articulate as Prime Ministers, but it is informative. And funny. I agree on puking is for the weak; if you can't hang, don't yak on me. As far as water in between, well....once you break the seal, you'll be pissin all night. And for the freeze therapy...uhh no thanks, I value my future familia. But what ever anyones stance is on hangovers, there is one ultimate truth....abstain from abstaining from alcohol, it's the right way. _________________ .

HAHA! Great article. I know that if I am going to drink more than I should, then I usually go with Cape Cods. That causes the least hangover, and your article supported it. It has juice and it is a white alcohol to boot! Screwdrivers work well too.
Another factor to consider with hangovers is age. The recovery time for a hangover when I was 21 was much shorter than it is now that I am 37. When I get hungover, I wake up dumb, and I am pretty much useless for about 2 days. The fact that I am out of shape and smoke doesn't help either...but that is what caffeine is for!
I like the stinky breath part, too. _________________ kidvelvet

Yeah, unless you wind up puking anyway...that stinks like...well, puke.
I told myself, I'd quit smokin this year, without a doubt, have to do it......just emptied my ashtray again. equals _________________ .

Thanks
I quit smoking over a year ago. Unfortunately, I picked up an ugly chewing tobacco habit which is much worse than smoking. Gonna quit when I go to Amsterdam in a few weeks, because they don't have it there and I will be alone - good time to have a freak out..

| You forgot to include eating White Castles as a hangover prevention technique. |

Great article!
I noticed that my hangovers were much worse the more I smoked, too. I think that smoking dehydrates you, too. I also noticed, though, that I would get more drunk AFTER I quit smoking. It took me a while to figure out what was going on.
I am a big fan of the Fierce Lime Gatorade, but I don't see it at the stores anymore...why would they stop making it?
I have also noticed the Ice Gatorades (the clear ones) go pretty smooth as they don't have those kooky colors that make you want to puke. _________________ It's Beer-Thirty somewhere.

Orange Ice is the only thing I drink, after I drink, usually. _________________ .

We don't have White Castle here, but I suppose I could drink a cup of fat and see if that works. |

I think everybody should send their own tricks and it should be compiled in a second article.
I've heard a lot of good about the RU-21 pills (kgb pills for secret agents who don't want to be drunk).
In mens health magazine they analyzed those pills and found out they were mainly vitamins.
So.... this inspired me!
I went to drink a couple of pints with flintstone vitamins.
I took one after each pint. Then one when I got home (with two glasses of water). Then the next morning...
The result was pretty amazing: I didn't feel bad at all. In fact, I was full of energy. _________________ Prime Minister: Beer Snob |

Vitamins, huh? And I really like the Barney Rubble ones..... you may really be on to something.
Despite the sensitivity to light, SUNSHINE should be a helpful cure. I think you get some benefit from the sunlight...maybe that's why yardwork seems to help. Even though you really just want to lie under your dark covers. _________________ It's Beer-Thirty somewhere.
