Unfortunately, I have to have a medical procedure done that involves a special diet beforehand. I'm going to stay away from beer & booze until after it is over next week. I will continue to check what is happening here, but I won't be enjoying or reviewing any delicious brews for about a week.

You'll be fine. Just think of how good that first ale will be when your Doctor clears you.. It'll be liquid gold..

Thanks for the support. As long as nothing serious is discovered, I'll be back to my old beer- hunting ways, ASAP. That first sip will be golden. I'll have to buy something good.

I knew you would J.. It's awful from what I've heard. This is just a bad idea.. I can already see all the college idiots who drank regular BL, now switching to BLP, and then mixing it with that new inhalable caffiene.
Although, I suppose that many idots all dying off can't be a bad thing...lol _________________ .

I made it through the procedure today and everything looks good. I'm cleared to drink again tomorrow. One thing the doctors have to factor in when giving anesthesia is "tolerance" which I definitely have. lol
I'm feeling no pain at the moment and I'm loopy from the after-effects of whatever they gave me. It feels like being stoned. Happy Valentines Day. Kiss the ones you love. Kiss your beers. Goodnight!

I have that problem too. Never been put all the way under, but have had anesthesia not work correctly on me a couple of times. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

I wonder if anesthesia is made from a type of alcohol?

It's not that far-fetched if you remember that alcohol was the only anesthesia available to mankind for most of our history.

In the American Civil War, soldiers were given basic rations. One of those rations, was whiskey. To be used in case of needing surgery or amputation. A pain killer...and also a blood thinner. So it helps you by reducing the pain you feel from bleeding out.

I would've needed a daily ration of whiskey to kill the general pain of war.
