Princeton, NJ- Princeton students have invented the ultimate hangover cure, completely backed by science and already used by professional athletes. Their company, Thrive+, has sold over $100,000 of their original After-Alcohol Aid capsules. The team has spent the last few months in a Princeton accelerator program, reimagining their product by enhancing its formula and creating an alternate version in the form of a dissolvable, fizzing powder similar to Emergen-C. They are launching a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to bring this new form of Thrive+, referred to as alcohol’s antidote, into the hands and homes of consumers everywhere.

The Thrive+ team is working out of the Princeton Entrepreneurial Hub startup accelerator, described on its website as “open by application only for some of Princeton’s brightest and most dynamic students.” The program provided Thrive+ with $20,000 in seed funding and a team of highly accomplished mentors to help them succeed. Founder Brooks Powell explains, “We envision Thrive+ as allowing people everywhere to enjoy their social events and family reunions without sacrificing their productivity the next morning or ruining their weekends. In short, Thrive+ will be alcohol’s antidote. We’re really grateful that Princeton is supporting us through their accelerator so that we can achieve this.”

Thrive+ works by targeting all seven of the main causes of a hangover identified in clinical research. Powell states, “Too many people think that hangovers are just caused by dehydration, and that simply isn’t true. Yes, Thrive+ will rehydrate you better than an IV, as it’s based on the formula the World Health Organization uses to save those dying of dehydration in third world countries. However, our product does a lot more than just provide rehydration. The ingredients in our formula were specifically chosen to mitigate each cause of a hangover, such as short-term alcohol withdrawal and alcohol-induced buildup of toxic byproducts. Thrive+ will allow you to finally feel like yourself the morning after drinking, so please help us make it a reality by pre-ordering through our Indiegogo campaign.”

The Thrive+ Indiegogo campaign will go live this August. I prefer avoiding the hangover, or just drinking water...

If it works better than water, I would buy it. I'd also like to see a product that sobers you up instantly, so you can drive home after drinking. After that, how about a pill that makes assholes become instantly nice people? Ok. now, that's asking too much. lol
