I made reference to Beer Brats in another topic, and then I thought...what if someone is unfamiliar with this....well here ya go...go to the store, get some brats. Not just any brats, I suggest Johnsonville, they're big, juicy, and have a little kick. Ok, so throw 'em on the grill, right? Wrong! Preparation is key....take a small(8x8) disposable cake pan, you can get these at your local market, usually in threes. Put five(5) brats in said pan, pour beer over the brats, being sure to cover most of the brat. I suggest a full-bodied beer for flavor, but any will do I guess. With pan on your grill, slowly bring heat up, not letting a boil form, but the beer should rather warm after about 15 minutes. Turn the brats every 5 minutes, until they appear white-ish, somewhat unappetizing. Trust me here.....put them on the grill, indirect to the flame. There are two important rules to cooking brats: 1) NEVER puncture the brat, doing so causes the juice to go bye-bye. No one likes a dry brat. 2) Use LOW heat!!! Don't be the guy who burns the food. Now, as a extra, use another pan on the grill. In that pan, add peppers, oinons, and beer! The brats are done when they are darker than original color, and hot.(duh!)

Now go get yours, cause I got mine sitting in beer right now for later tonight. Yummy, nothing beats a brat and beer. Welcome to heaven on a bun! (c)
