For the first time since the Gallup Poll began collecting drinking statistics in 1992, wine has surpassed beer, even among men, as Americas favorite alcoholic drink. According to Gallup, 39% of American drinkers said they drink wine most often, while only 36% said they drink beer most often.

Gallup polls are wholly inacurate. No one asked me, or anyone else here did they? How many people does it take to be able to claim a "correct" percentage for the country? I heard of no poll. And it's only been around since 1992?.....Screw wine, beer is a real mans drink...even if it's a warm fancy brew or an ice cold ale. Drink Beer Bottle

I hate wine. Beer is the way to go! Screw that poll! I've never been asked about which one I like more!

Yeah, it is hard to say exactly who they include in their polls. But I think I posted a link to another news article a while back that said something similar.

I think if more people were aware of what is out there, beer might be better off. Of course, even in a world without microbrews, I would still pick beer over wine. Wine would be toward the bottom of my list right above ripple. Beer
