Tiger Woods is absolutly ridiculous..........that chip on 16 was unreal, and the putt on 18 wins it....amazing(x4). I loved seeing Phil and Tiger shake after the jacket presentation....such a look on Tigers face as that Phil is so below him again....hahahaha..Go Lefty! _________________ .

Well, it was only 9 holes, so 42 isn't that good. Puts me around 84 or so for 18.....I shot four rounds in the 50s for 18 in a tournament........ okay, so that was on Tiger 2005 for Ps2.......

| Judge Rage wrote: | | I will take a 42 on 9 holes any day.... | The way I started this year and ended last year, so would I. That's still around 6 or 7 over par, but it kills me to see the little tiny mistakes that would drop my score a few more strokes. Hell, I had a legitimate chance at an eagle, but then a bad bounce put me in the sand, so I had to settle for par, but damn......so close, but yet still sober... _________________ .

Just a random quiz I guess.....Can anyone tell me the reason why there are 18 holes in a round of golf, as opposed to say 15 or 20????? Free beer for the winnner! Here's a hint.... _________________ .

Here's a hint.... | Then, around 1764, St. Andrews converted from 22 holes to 18 holes. The reason? Well, everyone knows 18 holes are easier to take care of than 22!
Eighteen holes did not become the standard until the early 1900s, but from 1764 onward, more courses copied the St. Andrews model. Then, in 1858, the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews issued new rules.
"In 1858, the R&A issued new rules for its members; Rule 1 stated 'one round of the Links or 18 holes is reckoned a match unless otherwise stipulated'. We can only presume that, as many clubs looked to the R&A for advice, this was slowly adopted throughout Britain. By the 1870s, therefore, more courses had 18 holes and a round of golf was being accepted as consisting of 18 holes."

Okay, how about the real answer.........without using all the "technical" resources....., I don't think you'll find this answer in any book, I heard from an old golf pro at the course I play...... _________________ .
