Alaska Airlines will be offering its passengers a taste of real Alaska brew beginning this weekend. Come Saturday, the Seattle-based airline has an arrangement with Alaskan Brewing in Juneau to distribute Alaskan Amber, its No. 1 product. Seasonal ales will be offered throughout the year.
Alaskan Amber will be complimentary in first class and offered for $5 in the main cabin. It also will be available free of charge in the airlines' airport club rooms.

Nice! I think more airlines should offer stuff like this on their flights! _________________ "Let's go drink until we can't feel feelings anymore." |

I might just have some water if those are the only options.

Hey good times! That'll make a trip seem faster, or least help you pass out to forget the flight. Although, I think they should at least give you one free. When I flew to UK, I remember the stewardess asked me, "Sir, would you like a drink?", Looking at my wallet full of American money on a British flight, I reply, "Uhhh, I'll just have some water. I don't have any pounds." "Oh, sir, I'm sorry. The drinks are complimentary." I quickly changed my order(s) to Whiskey, one nip at a time. Shit, next thing I knew, I was landing at Heathrow. Yeah, that was a good flight. _________________ .

I don't know why, but for some reason I always seem to get free drinks on domestic flights... I order a beer and they don't collect any money and then they keep bringing me free beer.. Meanwhile, the people across the aisle or in front always have to pay.. I swear this has happened at least 3 times.. _________________ I drink to forget my blackouts. |

We could use one of the 2 liter hiking water bladder you can carry and fill it with 2 liters of homebrew, |

Horizon Air, which is owned by Alaska, actually offers free microbrew and wine on their flight. I just flew in to San Jose, and I was able to have a Widmere Oktoberfest beer for free. Hard to beat that, and you aren't limited to one...I had a couple on the flight, so I should be hitting the rack soon. Don't know how it will affect my training, though.
I am flying on Alaska on the way back, so I should be able to try the Alaska brew...I will let you know how that goes in a couple of weeks. _________________ kidvelvet

Ok, well if Heineken looked like that on the shelf or if they offered me that on a plane... I might be inclined to have a couple of "jugs" _________________ "Let's go drink until we can't feel feelings anymore." |
