Ingredients: (Portions for a 5 gallon batch)
Grain 1 lbs.Black Patent Malt (UK) Extract
Grain 1 lbs.Cara-Pils/CaraFoam/Dextrine (USA) Extract
Grain 3 lbs.DME (Amber) Extract
Grain 3.3 lbs.DME (Dark) Extract
Grain 0.5 lbs.Chocolate Malt (USA) Extract
Hops 1 oz.Tettnanger (Pellets% AA) Boil time 15 min.
Hops 1.5 oz.Northern Brewer (Pellets% AA) Boil time 60 min.
Miscellaneous Ingredient 2 sticksLicorice Extract
Yeast 6 oz.White Labs English Ale (WLP002) Yeast (Ideal ferm. temp: 65-68°F)

Directions:
Put grains in bag and begin heating water.
@ 120 rest for 15 min. then raise to
155 and rest for 30 min. Remove grains, mix extracts and
bring to boil.
Place 2 in. Licorice stick in plastic bag and crush with hammar. Put in wort during last 30 min. Stir often to help disolve

Primary Fermentor: 5 days Secondary: 2 weeks In Bottles: 2 weeks
